Odor measurement
Our company is registered as a "Type 2 Odor Measurement Authorized Business" by the Smell and Odor Environment Association of Japan. We provide the following odor index measurements.
Odor index measurement
The odor index (concentration) is measured using the three-point comparison odor bag method, which is based on the human sense of smell.
In this method, three "smell bags" filled with odorless air are prepared, and a sample collected is placed in one of the bags to be judged as "smelly" or "not smelly." Six or more people with normal sense of smell are assigned to make the judgment.
This measurement method is characterized by its ability to capture odors in numbers that are close to the sensation of odor intensity felt by humans.
