High Flash Point Metal Processing Oils

Many oil products fall under Category IV Hazardous Materials and the stored quantity is strictly regulated by the Fire Service Act. The need to switch to safer oil products is growing due to the frequent occurrence of fire accidents at storage facilities and places they are used, and regulations on storage quantity is becoming more strict. Under the Fire Service Act, products with a flash point of 250°C or higher are classified as non-hazardous materials (designated combustibles and combustible liquids), and storage quantity restrictions, etc. are mitigated. In addition, we have a lineup of fire resistant oils for actually reducing the risk of fire rather than simply avoiding the Fire Service Act.
We offer the best proposals in terms of storage quantity, price, and applications from our diverse product line.

Designated combustibles and non-water cutting oils (Eagle cut UF series)

Fire risk is reduced and it does not fall under the hazardous materials in the Fire Service Act

Water-soluble cutting oils account for the majority of cutting oils used in processing sites, but non-water cutting oils are important to provide machining accuracy, especially in precision machining. As a non-water cutting oil that does not fall under hazardous materials, our Eagle Cut UF Series has been well received by many customers. This is an effective measure to reduce the amount of hazardous materials held without compromising the processing quality.

Water content type cutting oil (Eagle Cut W-303)

From the perspective of the amount of hazardous materials stored in the plants, the demand for cutting oils that are compatible with designated combustibles is increasing. However, they are behind conventional non-water cutting oils in terms of processing performance. We have made our water-containing cutting oils nonhazardous by dissolving water into mineral oil by 10%, and achieved a processing performance that is comparable to non-water cutting oils. The lifespan of the cutting tool is extended, and this contributes to saving resources and cost.

Fire resistant hydraulic oils

In aluminum die casting, casting, hot forging, hot stamping, and other processing, metal is processed at high temperatures, which means those manufacturing sites have a high risk of fire. In these kinds of places, not only do we need to avoid hazardous materials, but we also need to take measures regarding oils, which can actually reduce the risk of fire. We have developed a fire resistant hydraulic oil that has excellent flammability resistance when it comes into contact with a high temperature heat source. The fire resistant hydraulic oil's main feature is its self-extinguishing ability. Even if a fire occurs due to contact with a high-temperature heat source, it is possible to minimize the risk of fire spreading by removing the heat source.
Fire-resistant hydraulic oils are very expensive products when compared to mineral oils. In order to ensure that you can use this expensive oil for as long as possible, we recommend recycling it.
