Solvent recycling

Organic solvent distillation recycling is one of our most specialized recycling technologies. By taking advantage of our extensive technologies and know-how, we can transform organic solvents discharged from various industries into products that meet customer needs. We have a number of distillation facilities for recycling them, depending on the state of the solvent waste and the characteristics of the organic solvents. We have also obtained patents for our unique distillation technology.
With our customers' cooperation, we collected 56,785 tons of solvent waste in 2017—the largest volume in Japan—and recycled them into resources. In addition to recycling, we also contribute to minimizing the environmental load by reducing CO2 emissions and customers' manufacturing costs.
Efforts toward waste/discharge
(Zero emission)
We at 0EG analyze waste samples in advance that have had their disposal requested by customers and examine their recycling. When we examine them, we try to think about things like the customers' requests, the safety of disposal at our company, and the effect on the quality of the recycled products. In addition, we ask our customers to allow us to accompany them on their sales visits so that we can understand not only the laws and regulations concerning our company's disposal facilities and industrial wastes, but also the customers who discharge the waste and its final disposal destination.

Recycle flow of solvents
From used solvent waste collected from all over Japan, we remove unwanted materials in our distillation process and returns it back into the market as a near-new quality recycled product, achieving material recycling. However, it is not possible to recover 100% of the solvent waste as a recycled product, so we can supply new fluids for the amount that has been reduced.
● Thermal recycling
■ Establishing heat recovery facilities
As a part of our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we have established a heat recovery facility as an incineration facility for industrial wastes, waste solutions, waste solvents, etc., for various reasons such as waste recycling, reducing fossil fuel use, and effective energy use.

We prepare used engine oil, mechanical oil, used solvents, etc., collected from customers and sell them as recycled fuels.
Solvent fuels
With the mixed emulsion method, waste oils and solvents with calories are mixed with waste acids, alkalines, and other substances, and reused in cement, lime, and incinerators as recycled fuels.
Other
Deoxidizing agent production
We effectively use sludge generated from the manufacturing process of solar cells and silicon wafers for semiconductors. We collect silicon and silicon carbide contained in this sludge and manufacture deoxidizing agents for iron and steel.
